Amis Trattoria’s formula of simple, seasonal Italian comfort food is put forth by skilled executive chef, Kristina Wisneski, who comes by way of Enoteca Tredici in Bryn Mawr. Expect Mediterranean-style tempers like bucatini with jalapeno and almond pesto, Sal’s Old School Meatballs (a popular throwback dish from Amis’s days under the auspices of chef and former owner Marc Vetri), and house made pizzette.

Mingling modern with rustic, the 200-seat space also offers private dining and a covered outside lounge. This iteration of Amis Trattoria marks the brand’s third location.

Adjacent to Amis Trattoria is Terrain Café, a spinoff of the highly successful greenhouse-style Terrain at Styer’s in Glen Mills. It offers a similar aesthetic and layout, but is larger than its lush predecessor, with covered courtyard seating. Look for Ryan Bloome, who spent the last six years helming the kitchen in Glen Mills, in the kitchen in Devon.

Expect other farm-to-table favorites like silky mushroom soup, and, of course, those famous popovers served in flowerpots.
