Restaurateur George Paxos, owner of four landmark restaurants in Lehigh Valley, just opened his fifth concept, Firepoint Grill, in Newtown Square’s Ellis Preserve.
Showcasing an open kitchen with a wood-fired grill, Firepoint offers an eclectic menu with rich, natural flavors. Wood-fired pizzas, steaks, burgers, rotisserie chicken and main plates like whiskey-glazed shrimp, baked lasagna and slow-cooked boneless short ribs are among the savory options.
The bar serves garden-fresh cocktails, seasonal craft beers and a diverse wine list. Chef Hugh Moran, an alum of Starr Restaurants, is running the kitchen.
The 7,500-square-foot restaurant seats 250 guests inside and an additional 150 guests on the outdoor, all-weather patio. It also features two bars, a wine room and two fireplaces.
“The wood grill truly inspired the restaurant’s design,” says Paxos. “Guests will enjoy a warm and inviting atmosphere that travels throughout the entire restaurant, while the open kitchen adds a theatrical entertainment element to the dining experience.”
Firepoint is open for lunch Monday through Saturday and dinner nightly. Brunch is available on Sundays.
