By the Bottle
It’s time to plot a new stop for your regular beer run. Christopher Lamarra and Tom Mastronardo have transformed the former Epicurean space in Phoenixville into Fenice Creolo, a unique Italian-Cajun mash-up with its own microbrew-centric take-out wing and plenty of beer-geek draw, including craft-your-own packs and 20-ounce bottles.
Reserve a Seat
Come early spring, the Chestnut Hill Hotel will become Bardea, an affordable Italian-American haunt with James Beard Best Chef Award nominee Jay Caputo in the kitchen. Expect sophisticated takes on wood-fired pizza, a salumi bar, fresh pasta, and prime outdoor dining in-season.
Dress the Part
Former Simon Pearce general manager Corey Fair is on a quest to satisfy active foodies and chefs with his own lifestyle brand. An online shop based out of King of Prussia, Butcher & Baker celebrates fine craftsmanship with a high-quality lineup of butcher aprons, chef’s knives, from-scratch salt blends and bitters, even cheeky, food-focused T-shirts.
Work it Out
Refocus and stay fluid at Victory Brewing Company’s 9:30 a.m. “Beer and Yoga” workshop at its Downingtown headquarters on Jan. 12. A light, mindful appetizer and beer pairing will follow the mid-morning stretch session. Visit victorybeer.com for more info.
