Exton’s Closets by Design Takes Home Two Top Shelf Design Awards

Closet, storage designers and custom woodworkers were celebrated at the 2015 Cabinets & Closets Gala Awards reception.

Closet by Design’s Exton location competed with the top closet, storage designers and custom woodworkers and took home two awards and an honorable mention from the Cabinets and Closets expo in Chicago on April 15. Known for merging form and function with sophistication and style, the Main Line designers impressed the experts enough to gain notice for their closets and garages.

Kelly Clark from Closets by Design won for ‘laminate closet more than 18-linear feet’ for her “White Chocolate Dressing Room.” Cay Evans took top honors for the ‘garage under 6 feet’ category with her  “Sleek, Silver Garage.” Karen Ridge earned honorable mention in the ‘laminate closet less than 18 linear feet’ category with her  “Closet Improvised.”

“It truly is an honor to win one of the design awards,” says Clark. “I was really proud of the job when it was completed, but winning this award gives me extra motivation to move the bar even higher for future projects.”

Pennsylvania and Delaware owner of the company Charles Waterman said he was proud of the team for taking home awards now three years in a row, adding that he expects the company to continue to succeed.

“Awards like these show that we are able to stay innovative and ahead of the pack, which is very important to our customers,” says Waterman.
