It’s been quite a year for Elizabeth Jaekle. In January, she spearheaded the opening of Crozer’s $16.5-million outpatient center in Broomall. All the while, Prospect Medical Holdings was acquiring Crozer in a process that involved intense public scrutiny and serious negotiations.
As Crozer’s lead territory scout, Jaekle was in the thick of it. “My role is to understand the competitive landscape, go settle on the land, and build it up,” she says.
In July, Crozer’s longtime CEO retired, clearing the way for former COO Patrick Gavin to lead the company. “There are moments—or years—in your career that test you,” she says. “If you surround yourself with great people, they help you weather it and stay positive. Then you use the experience to help someone else. And maybe you realize just how strong you really are.”
