Dr. Radhika Kakarla recently gave birth to an idea that she’s been conceptualizing for a year and a half. Kakarla is the CEO and founder of Hatch, a motherhood membership community created for expectant moms and postpartum women located in Wayne.
As a board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist for the past two decades who currently practices at Mainline OB/GYN, Kakarla saw a consistent theme among her patients. “Every day, I was seeing women who were struggling to figure it all out,” she says. “They were all asking the same questions and really looking for resources.”
Hatch is now the place to go for answers—from conception, pregnancy and childbirth through infancy and early parenthood. “Those are the toughest years. We want to be that support for 18-24 months,” she says.
The Villanova resident has no intention of giving up her full-time OB-GYN career. Hatch is her side passion she just had to do. “Nothing could have stopped me,” she says. “Our goal is to bridge that gap between conventional medicine and more integrated care. It’s a need that someone needed to fill.”
