Don't Miss This: Avenue Kitchen's New Wine Tasting Series

If your resolution was to study something new this year, Avenue Kitchen in Villanova has the class for you. Learn—and taste—during “Glass Is Now in Session,” four nights of alcohol-imbued education.

In this complimentary class, a different guest educator will be on hand each night from 4–7 p.m. to share his or her knowledge about the beverages being sampled. Three classes will be devoted to wine, and one will be dedicated to beer. Advice on the perfect cheese pairings to complement the wines and beers sampled will also be part of the class. The schedule is as follows:

•Monday, Jan. 12: Mike Walsh from Majestic Wine and Spirits

•Monday, Jan. 19: Justin Scappaticci from Capital Wine & Spirits

•Thursday, Jan. 22: Hudson Austin from The Wine Merchant Ltd.

•Wednesday, Jan. 28: Mary Grace from Flying Fish Brewery

A variety of acclaimed red, white and blush wines will be sampled, including Sledgehammer Malbec, Cartlidge & Browne Cabernet, Folie à Deux Chardonnay and Nobilissima Pinot Grigio. Price per glass is $7. No registration is required; just come join in the fun!
