Parlor Pizza Bar
|
Keep your eyes on 30 Parking Plaza in Ardmore for the new concept that plans to occupy the former Suburban Square home of The Saint James. Parlor Pizza Bar, an approachable, family- and group-friendly Italian restaurant, will open in early March, according to owner Rob Wasserman. The rebranding was originally announced late last year.
Parlor’s menu will feature artisan wood-fired pizzas, pastas and salads, with a draft wine by the glass program focusing on reasonably-priced Italian wines starting at $6 per glass and $18 per bottle. Josh Otto of Otto Design is leading the remodel, which brings a red pizza oven imported from Modena, Italy; crimson and gray wood; and more natural light from a skylight and windows opening to the courtyard. The wall that previously separated the bar from the dining room has been eliminated to open up the space.
Hours will be 11:30 a.m.–10 p.m. on Sunday through Thursday and 11:30 a.m.–11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Parlor will take reservations only for large parties of 6–14 guests. Parties of 15 or more should make special arrangements with the restaurant.
