This spring, the former Saint James isn’t the only Suburban Square location receiving a facelift. Fifth-generation tea company Capital Teas is undergoing an ultra-chic renovation in order to enhance its specialty tea experience.

What to expect at this new tea bar and boutique? You’ll be able to explore an enticing range of hot and iced teas, as well as a selection of 200+ organic, natural and exotic loose teas. Also in stock will be hand-crafted tea infusions and even a fine-tuned inventory of modern teaware.

A highlight of the renovated Ardmore-based Capital Teas store will be its signature “sniffing wall,” where customers can waft their way through the store’s assortment of black, oolong, white and green teas for a multi-sensory experience.

The first Capital Teas in the Philly region landed in Rittenhouse Square in October 2014, with the brand steadily increasing its stores throughout the East Coast, including new stops in Virginia, Maryland, Washington, D.C. and Pennsylvania. Capital Teas was founded in Annapolis, Maryland in 2007 by a husband-and-wife team, Peter and Manelle Martino.

Find Capital Teas at Suburban Square, 6 Coulter Avenue, #1000, Stall #6, Ardmore. Capital Teas also features a Rittenhouse Square location (1801 Chestnut St., Philadelphia).
