Citadel Country Spirit USA Gears up for Inaugural Festival

Featuring country music stars like Toby Keith, Jake Owen and Brad Paisley, the event will take place Aug. 24-26 at Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show.

Make no mistake: The region is buzzing over the inaugural Citadel Country Spirit USA. Held Aug. 24-26 on the Ludwig’s Corner Horse Show grounds in Glenmoore, the three-day festival features headliners Alabama, Toby Keith and Brad Paisley, along with Dustin Lynch, Trace Adkins and Jake Owen.

“It’s a really full day of entertainment,” says event promoter Alan Jacoby, executive director of Impact Entertainment.

Gates will open at noon each day, with live music continuing until 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Don’t expect any lulls. The second stage will come alive while the main stage is between acts. All in all, more than 20 bands will play throughout the weekend.

Two years in the making, the event is the fruit of a partnership between Impact Entertainment and the Chester County Conference & Visitors Bureau. Impact hosts a similar festival in Northern California. Daily capacity at Country Spirit will tap out at 15,000, and parking will be off-site, with shuttle service available. Guests can also expect great food and drink. “We’ll be getting the top food trucks and local restaurants,” says Jacoby, adding that the beverage list includes Sierra Nevada Brewing, Barefoot Wines and Jose Cuervo.

The festival will also have a mechanical bull and saloons—doubling down on the “contemporary western lifestyle country music spectacular” theme, as Jacoby puts it.
