Celebrity chefs will be serving up stellar eats in King of Prussia on March 23 in support of Philabundance. The the second annual Celebrity Cook-off to Fight Hunger will be held at Ferguson Bath, Kitchen & Lighting Gallery’s showroom from 6-9 p.m.
“Last year, we raised nearly $16,000 and provided 31,000 meals for the organization,” says Dustin Pedrick, a Delaware Valley manager for Ferguson. “Our associates have a strong passion to help our neighbors in need. With the support of the community and local trade professionals, we can surpass last year’s mark.”
Philabundance, the largest hunger-fighting organization in the region, supports roughly 90,000 individuals a week, and if this year’s event meets its goal, will go a long way helping with that weekly support.
Local King of Prussia businesses, including Davio’s Northern Italian Steakhouse and honeygrow, have also signed up as event sponsors.
Five chefs will lead the cook-off, including:
- Brian Duffy from Spike TV’s Bar Rescue
- Georgeann Leaming from Food Network’s Chopped
- Jason Cichonski, from Bravo’s Top Chef
- Chad Rosenthal from Food Network’s Food Network Star
- Eric Scott, Ferguson Chef Area Manager and Local Grill Master
Local homeowners, builders and remodelers are encouraged to donate items for the silent auction, purchase raffle tickets or attend the event. Tickets will be available at the door for a suggested donation of $20 and include food, beverages and entertainment.
