Gulph Mills’ Savona has consistently served some of the best food and drink on the Main Line for the last 18 years, so there is good reason to celebrate. To honor that milestone, owner Evan Lambert would like to say thank you with a month-long offering of specials, featuring Bar Savona’s menu at $18 and under, a 90+ Point Wine Dinner, Savona Wine Week and their very first cocktail hour.
Bar Savona’s new cocktail hour will offer half-off all cocktails, beer and glasses of wine. Chef Andrew Masciangelo has also created a new cocktail hour snack menu that features a choice of crostini ($5), antipasti ($7) and pizzettes ($8). Cocktail hour is available Monday through Friday from 5:30–6:30 p.m. Additionally, from March 9–12, everything on Bar Savona’s menu will be $18 and under.
The celebration continues on March 14 at 6:30 p.m. with a 90+ point, five-course wine dinner featuring Melissa Schultz of Opici Wines. Offerings include herb-marinated shrimp spiedini paired with Villa Rosa Gavi di Gavi 2013 and ricotta cavatelli, sweet English peas and aged provolone served with Fattoria di Magliano “Heba” 2011. Cost is $150 per person exclusive of tax and gratuity. Please call the restaurant for reservations and full menu.
Rounding out the celebratory month is Savona’s first-ever wine week from March 23–27. Each night, a local wine merchant will feature six different wines. All wines will be available locally at PA Wine and Spirit Shops.
