Beth Cox, Clinical Educator, Mercy Home Health

Nominated by Jayne Green, Regional Director, Mercy Home Health

Beth Cox brings a humble, warm touch to the lives of about 250 patients in Montgomery County whose care she oversees. In addition, she volunteers with the Interfaith Hospitality Network to provide more than a dozen homeless families with temporary housing. Cox serves as liaison for the families, cooking meals and sharing community resources.

At the First Presbyterian Church of Springfield, Cox created and facilitates an annual weeklong Bible school for underprivileged children. She also volunteers for Remote Area Medical, which provides medical, dental and vision care for people in Appalachia and elsewhere. She is the frontline provider for individuals who would otherwise not seek medical care.
