Best of the Main Line and Western Suburbs 2019

Our readers and critics have spoken.

Over the last several years, the Main Line and Philadelphia’s western suburbs have been in the middle of a cultural renaissance. Town centers are evolving, school districts are expanding and it seems as if a new restaurant or boutique opens daily. But amidst all of this change, one thing has remained constant–the region’s commitment to quality. With award-winning bistros making national headlines and local designers pushing the boundaries of style, it’s reassuring to know that some things never change.

For our 23rd annual Best of the Main Line and Western Suburbs awards, readers and critics selected nearly 400 winners—one of our largest ever selections—ranging from a new brewery in King of Prussia to an axe-throwing venue in Kennett Square to Philadelphia’s very-own internet sensation, Gritty. None of it would be possible without our enthusiastic readers, who submit thousands of votes every year championing their favorite restaurants, shops and neighborhood hangouts. Along with the readers’ winning selections, our editorial critics weigh in on what they love, too. Didn’t see your favorite spot this year? Look for our readers’ online voting ballot to go live in December, when you can once again have your say.
