Get ready to party. Friday, Dec. 5, is the grand opening of 30 Main’s brand-new event venue, The Second Floor.
Looking to provide a social center for Berwyn, 30 Main’s owners, the dynamic father-and-son duo of Matthew and Michael DiDomenico, welcome one and all to the new space, which they hope will become a hot spot for events and celebrations, large and small.
Friday’s grand opening soiree, set to kick off at 8 p.m., will have a little bit of something for everyone. The party will benefit T&E Care, an organization that provides financial and other material assistance to those in need in and around the Tredyffrin and Easttown township area. Performing that evening will be the Blue Sky Band, a seven-member group that plays—pro bono!—at charitable fundraising events in the Philadelphia area. Since 2004, Blue Sky has raised or assisted nonprofits in raising more than $250,000 for various nonprofit organizations.
Come rock out to music spanning the 1960s to the present (think Allman Brothers, Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Van Morrison). Getting in is easy: Just bring a gift card to donate to T&E Care’s Holiday Drive for admission. 30 Main is also a dropoff location for Toys for Tots this holiday season, so feel free to bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate to a child in need.
While you’re enjoying the grand opening, be sure to take a look around, especially if you’ve got an event to plan in the future. With its soaring high ceilings, refinished hardwood floors, a built-in stage area and a beautiful Old World–style staircase, The Second Floor accommodates parties of up to 125 guests and is bound to become Berwyn’s go-to for wedding receptions, anniversary celebrations, retirement parties, baby showers, bar/bat mitzvahs and corporate functions.
30 Main will also host its own events upstairs, open to everyone, including live music nights, ladies’ nights, Latin music nights, comedy shows, the upcoming School of Rock Christmas Party and more.
