Where to Buy Antique and One-of-a-Kind Finds this October

Celebrate First Friday in West Chester on Oct. 6, at the Vintage Market. From 4 to 8 p.m., vendors will set up their wares on the bottom level of the Chestnut Street Parking Garage. Items for sale include furniture, collectibles, re-purposed and architectural salvage, original art and photography, and vintage home goods, accessories and antiques.

Wayne Art Center is hosting a family art workshop on Oct. 7 from 1 to 3 p.m. At the Family Day of Clay, kids and parents learn the process of slab making as they create jack-o-lantern faces and construct three luminaries. Pumpkins will be bisque-fired and glazed and ready for pickup two weeks later—plenty of time to decorate for Halloween.
