No, I’m not talking about Christmas (yet). My head is spinning with all the fabulous fashion/beauty-related events, sales, trunk shows and fundraisers going on throughout the Main Line during the next few weeks. So, without further ado, clear your calendars, ladies—you have a lot of places to be. Oh, how stunning you’ll look once the holidays roll around …
Jeans and Giving Back
The lovely ladies at Skirt in Bryn Mawr have been awfully busy this season. First up, Skirt is offering a buy-one-get-one-free special Oct. 22-23 on all denim (excluding J. Brand). Yes, you read that right. This Friday and Saturday: All jeans are BOGO! Skirt’s jeans inventory includes major designers, from AG Adriano Goldschmied to Prps and William Rast. The offer is valid on full-price merchandise only, and the free pair must be of equal or lesser value.
Also, in support of Breast Cancer Research, Skirt has joined with Living Beyond Breast Cancer to host a night of shopping, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on Oct. 28 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Shop for just the right outfits for the upcoming holidays while supporting a great cause. If you donate $50 to LBBC, you receive a $50 gift certificate toward your purchase of $150 or more. A $100 donation to LBBC gets you a $100 gift certificate toward a purchase of $300 or more. (Limit one certificate per customer; certificates expire Nov. 26.) R.S.V.P. by Oct. 25 to Lauren Ainsworth at (610) 645-4567, ext. 113.

Style Wars
This Sunday, Oct. 24, the area’s premier day spa, Joseph Anthony Retreat Spa and Salon, will host the second annual Style Wars to benefit the pediatric children’s cancer foundation, Adopt a Pig. I was at this stellar runway show last year, and I felt like I was at the tents at Bryan Park. This year’s event is sure not to disappoint, with the hottest fashions from Apricot Lane in Ardmore’s Suburban Square paired with the latest trends in hair and makeup created by the renowned stylists at Joseph Anthony. The VIP reception begins at 5 p.m., and the general reception and fashion show will follow from 6 to 9 p.m. The reception includes complimentary beverages and heavy hors d’oeuvres.
$50-$125. 243 W. Baltimore Pike, Glen Mills; (610) 459-4663, josephanthony.com.
Going Pink
Support Currie Hair Skin Nails on Oct. 24 for the second annual “There’s Life in Beauty” event to benefit the Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at either the Glen Mills or Justison Landing locations, Currie will open its doors for salon services, great silent-auction prizes, and refreshments. Contribute to their “A Year at Currie” raffle, which includes 12 massages, 12 facials, 12 manicures and 12 pedicures, for $10 per chance. All proceeds from this event go to the DBCC.
Look for Part 2 of my fashion event roundup next Wednesday.
