Style tip: “Don’t worry about the size; your concern should be the fit.” Worth the investment: “A leather jacket is a must-have in any women’s wardrobe.” What she’s most excited about this season: “Sweaters, sweaters, sweaters.” Her boutique is different because: “ … of our friendly approach. We want to share our love of clothes with our clients—not make them feel intimidated to walk in the door.”

Tina Corrado
Posh Collections, Malvern (est. 2007)

Typical customer: “We have everyone from contemporary fashionistas to stylish moms, plus chic professionals who want sophisticated, polished pieces. One aspect all our shoppers have in common is their desire for posh additions to their wardrobes.” Best-selling designers: DVF, Trina Turk, Vince, Joie, Ecru.  What keeps them coming back: “Our superior personal service and product knowledge.” Style tip: “Feel confident and comfortable in what you’re wearing. Some styles and silhouettes—while they may be very trendy—aren’t meant for every woman.” Her boutique is different because: “ … we integrate new and valuable ideas in styling and offer specialized in-house appointments where we visit clients in their homes to assist in making new ensembles with pre-existing pieces and new items.”

Charlene Mulholland
Sorella Boutique, Media (est. 2006)

Typical customer: “From January until May, we have a large teen base for our prom gowns. Our typical customers are 35-55, but 17-85 isn’t unusual, either.” Best-selling designers: Velvet, Veronica M., Hale Bob, Laundrea, Bailey 44, Weston Wear, Rebel jewelry, Muse, Charlie Jade. What keeps them coming back: “We’re friendly, approachable and reasonably priced.” Style tip: “Don’t buy something you’re only going to wear once—except, of course, for prom. That dress will be in pictures forever.” What she’s most excited about this season: “Really unique knit hats and headbands, plus gorgeous sweaters.” Her boutique is different because: “ … my sister (and Sorella co-owner) lives in Seattle, and she finds unique clothing and jewelry that isn’t on the East Coast. We register your prom dress so no one from the same school can buy the same thing from us.”
