Devotees of Lululemon’s yoga-inspired athletic wear are often called “Luluheads.” And there’s a good chance you’ll become one after visiting the new Lululemon Athletica in Wayne.
Since the company’s inception in 1998, Lululemon’s stylish, fun athletic apparel has dominated its corner of the market. The store is brimming with brightly colored sports bras, soft cotton tanks and hip jackets. And the quality is well worth the price. “People tell us they have Lululemon clothing that’s a few years old, and it still looks like new,” says store manager Andrea Downs.
A favorite of Kate Hudson and other celebrities, Lululemon attire was originally designed for yogis but now suits many other activities, from Pilates and running to dance and strength training. There’s also a collection for guys that includes golf tees and board shorts. And be sure to read the “Why We Made This” tags, which explain each item’s unique characteristics.
Lululemon hosts a weekly running club, plus yoga and Pilates classes—all complimentary and designed to accommodate every skill level.
