Her Style: Classic with sass—with rhinestones, sequins or a wow factor on one item.
Fashion Roots: I’m from a small town called High Point in North Carolina. It’s a place where everybody knows everybody. When you went out, you had to look your best. I’d sit at the edge of the bed and watch my grandmother get dressed to go out on the weekend. She always turned it out, and everybody anticipated her arrival because she’d be dressed to the nines and doused in Clinique or Elizabeth Taylor’s White Diamonds. I was mesmerized by her confidence and her appearance, and I knew I wanted the same.
Why Fashion Captivates Her: Wearing clothes that make you look and feel good can boost your confidence, executive presence and credibility. In my work, fashion has given me the opportunity to help executives transform themselves and create a signature presence that can’t be ignored.
Indispensable Wardrobe Item: Earrings and more earrings. I love accessories.
Favorite Places To Shop: I love Skirt in Bryn Mawr and Styche Boutique in Ardmore.
Fashion Icon: I’m a huge fan of Kelly Rowland from Destiny’s Child and her fashion—especially in the movie Mea Culpa, where she plays a defense attorney.
Best Fashion Buy: A vintage Gucci coat I purchased from the Vault by Volpe Beringer.
Thoughts on Aging: For me, getting older signifies growth, experience and opportunity—and I’ll embrace it one fashionable step at a time.
Indispensable Accessory: A black tank top and shapewear.
Makeup Tip Every Woman Can Appreciate: Here are three quick ones: Massage your face, invest in a good eye cream and take the time to prime your skin before applying foundation.
Favorite Fragrance: Naseem Jazi Concentrated Perfume Oil.
Fashion No-No: Don’t dress sexy for the office.
Why Fashion Matters: Fashion transcends the diversity line. It drives innovation and supports cultural reflection.
