Recession or not, women’s tastes for high fashion haven’t simmered. Robin Cohen understands this, which is precisely why she opened Boutique Wearhouse in Newtown Square. And while her customers are getting up to 60 percent off retail prices, they’re also enjoying first-class service. “You’re not just a number when you’re in here,” says Cohen. “We can help you as little or as much as you want.”
True to its name, the boutique is an impeccably organized, small-scale warehouse, its rolling racks filled with everything from blazers and tank dresses to cargo pants and jeans from Bread & Butter, Dolce Vita, My Tribe and other brands. “Women who boutique-shop will recognize the names,” says Cohen.
Inventory changes with the seasons, and there’s also a selection of costume jewelry, leather handbags, scarves, belts and shoes. Treat yourself to happy hour on Thursdays, when the store stays open until 8 p.m. for “Champagne and Shopping,” with complimentary wine and snacks.
