This axe throwing chain has locations throughout the region, including one in King of Prussia and another in Philadelphia. A session can range anywhere from $25 to $40 depending on the day of the week, number of guests and length of the session, with 15 minutes dedicated to training for first-time throwers. The remaining time is all about perfecting your newly learned skills. Bonus: Both the King of Prussia and Philadelphia locations are BYOB, but neither establishment permits hard liquor.

West Chester’s Tilted Axes teaches visitors how to throw an axe in a casual, urban atmosphere. Plus, you can enjoy a number of other activities like corn hole, pool tables and video games. Sessions typically last around up to two hours and cost $27 per person for a one-hour session or $41 per person for two-hour sessions. You have the option to BYOB or have beer and wine delivered from Saloon 151.

Stumpy’s Hatchet House

Stumpy’s has been a big name in the axe throwing business since 2015, when Stuart and Kelly Josberger and their close friends Mark and Trish Oliphant started an impromptu game of axes. Since then, they’ve expanded across the country and landed in Cherry Hill and Delran, NJ, and also Bristol, PA. Prices starts at $15 per person per hour. You can bring your own food, and Stumpy’s even has a pour-your-own beer system.

Splitting Edge Axe Throwing

Splitting Edge has been throwing axes since 2018, with locations in Pottstown, Malvern and Coatesville. The facility is made entirely out of wood, handcrafted and designed to captivate and engage the ancient art of axe throwing. The venue offers one-hour and two-hour sessions, as well as group parties for any occasion. Before throwing an axe, visitors must fill out a waiver and wear close-toed shoes. These locations are BYOB and BYO food, with the option to get food delivered as well.

Kick Axe Throwing


Kick Axe Throwing is not just an axe throwing facility. It also has a regular bar and lounge to play games and enjoy a bite to eat or a drink or two. Axe throwing costs $35 per person for a 75-minute session. The introduction starts with one of the highly trained Axe Pros, who will spend around 15 minutes covering the basics of axe throwing. Once guests have the hang of the technique, they can start tossing! Assigned Axe Pros stand by to offer advice and track each party’s scores.
