Dana Smith Farrell is expanding her Avenue Kitchen brand to a second location in Glen Mills in Glen Eagle Square (477 Wilmington-West Chester Pike), with an opening slated for summer of 2015. Avenue Kitchen’s original outpost in Villanova is known for a menu that highlights simple and approachable classics created by her brother, executive chef Gregory Smith, who will also be involved with the new location.
Farrell is well-acquainted with the locale as she has been a partner in Glen Eagle Square’s Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar. Consequently, Farrell has exited from her business partnership at Harvest to focus her time on expanding Avenue Kitchen.
The new restaurant’s design will mirror the same aesthetic as the Villanova location and will seat 80 guests. The bar program will offer wine, beer and craft cocktails.
