Aubusson Finds a New Home

The Wayne store makes a big move … right next door.

>> NEW DIGS: It may have been a case of the seven-year itch. Though well established since 2008, Peggy Brehman, owner of Aubusson Home in Wayne, felt her fabric-and-trimming business needed a little freshening up with a new space. She didn’t have to go far. Brehman moved right next door in late May.

She now has plenty of room to display her hundreds of fabric samples, available from industry leaders Scalamandre, Kravet, Duralee, Brunschwig & Fils and more. Beyond fabric, Aubusson’s inventory—which is sold both to the industry and the public—includes Company C bedding and rugs, Brahms Mount throws, even upholstered furniture. “We’re helping people finish their houses,” says Brehman. “We can work with all budgets.”

Any other musts for the Main Line home? “Wall covering has come back in a big way,” Brehman says. “It’s bolder and more colorful. It’s been so fun to watch that trend come back.”

To that end, Brehman has a deal with Wallquest, a family-owned-and-operated wallpaper company also based in Wayne. Local flair never looked so stunning.
