Amani BYOB’s Caribbean-Inspired Menu

Sample the flavors of the Caribbean at this six-course dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Amani’s BYOB is always on our list of top places to dine in the area. Chef Jon Amann’s focus on farm fresh flavors is evidenced in his always-changing seasonal menu. Though he tends to keep things local, he is evoking the tastes of the Caribbean with a one-night-only cocktail dinner. Check out the menu below:

First Course

Tomatillo poblano gazpacho

Charred pineapple salsa, tomatillo, scallion, poblano peppers, garlic

Paired with: Mai Tai

White rum, triple sec, pineapple, grenadine, dark rum floater

Second Course

Chorizo empanada

Fourth Course

Grilled swordfish

Charred corn and heirloom tomato salsa, jerk-marinated chipotle sweet potato purée

Fifth Course

Chile citrus pork carnitas

Mole poblano verde, braised pork belly red beans, Caribbean sofrito-infused rice, wilted greens

Dark rum, ginger beer, lime

Sixth Course

Pineapple coconut pot de crème

Chipotle-dusted plantain chip, lime air
