Advocacy in Action

Whether it’s advocating for CPR education in our schools, clean air bills for all employees, or for taxing sugar sweetened beverages, there is so much work to do! Join us on April 10, 2017 in Harrisburg for Advocacy Day, where PA citizens can speak to their state representatives about legislation that supports advancing public health initiatives.

Circle of Red Members, Stephanie Austin, Barbara Krancer, and Denise Cohen attended Advocacy Day last year, and encourage more participation this April. “The American Heart Association advocates for the health and wellness of Pennsylvanian’s each day,” says Stephanie Austin, survivor and Circle of Red Chair. “Advocacy day is an opportunity for the community’s voice to be heard”.
