A Little Slice of Sweden in Devon

Scandaffären is a unique gift, food and home-accessories boutique.

>> now open: Doreen Sundelin has visited Sweden—the native home of her husband, Sten—countless times during their marriage. Upon returning to West Brandywine Township, she wanted to shop locally for the quality goods produced in Scandinavia and Finland.

That was the inspiration behind Scandaffären, her gift, food and home-accessories boutique in Devon, which carries everything from hand-loomed rugs to throw blankets. “Whether you lean more traditional or more modern, there is something for every taste and style,” says Sundelin.

Bold prints by Marimekko can be found on cushions, table runners and pot holders. And Tonfisk artfully blends ceramic and wood in its trays and serving plates.Sundelin also offers items from Ekelund and stunning art glass from Målerås Glasbruk. Fine china from Gustavsbergs Porslinsfabrik and Rörstrand is also available.
