A Good Cause

Philabundance seeks volunteers for its new Fresh for All program, which distributes fresh fruits and vegetables to people in need in the Delaware Valley. Two of the five pilot sites planned for 2008 are in Delaware County. All sites are currently operating on weekdays. Distribution requires a two- to three-hour commitment, including setup and takedown. Volunteers may assist once or regularly, at one site or more than one, but must be able to commit to the full duration of distribution. Each distribution requires volunteers for a diversity of roles, both physically demanding and not, and Philabundance will match volunteers to tasks within their capabilities.
