As we inch toward the unofficial close of summer, the Main Line and its surrounding suburbs are blossoming with a new restaurant renaissance. Curious as to who you need to plant on your radar and keep tabs on their openings? Full lineup below.

Chef Tim Spinner and Brian Sirhal unveil their fourth restaurant, Beast & Ale, this week. The Main Street Manayunk restaurant is billed as an elevated “greasy spoon.” The tri-level space, formerly Bisou and MangoMoon, is equipped with a 28-seat deck too and features a snappy, petite menu of bar snacks, sandwiches and three comfort food entrees. For drinks, there is an eight-tap beer program with Forest & Main on hand pump, and a well-curated cocktail and wine program. Visit for happy hour (Mon.–Fri., 4:30–6:30 p.m.; Sat.–Sun., 11 p.m.–midnight) or for dinner and drinks. Coming soon: weekend brunch. www.beastandale.com

Today in West Chester marks the opening of Bon Bon Sushi (22 N. Darlington St.), a hip takeout shop serving affordable Japanese street food like fresh maki rolls and Asian burritos. Limited seating inside, open daily 11 a.m.–9 p.m. www.bonbonsushi.com

Los Sabores de Mexico also comes to West Chester, filling the former home of Senora’s (503 E. Gay St.). Specializing in traditional dishes crafted with homemade tortillas, salsas and sauces, Efren Herrera and his team aim to accurately represent the flavors of Puebla and Toluca, Mexico. Dining recommendations include the squash blossom tacos, huaraches and chilaquiles. Open daily, 9 a.m.–10 p.m.

And, just when you thought West Chester couldn’t get any better, the borough is anticipating two additional openings. Gemelli Artisanal Gelato & Dessert Cafe will open in mid-September at 12 W. Market St. Vincenzo and Julianne Tettamanti’s Italian-style boutique will feature house-made gelato and sorbets crafted with Lancaster cream, as well as from-scratch pastries. Gelato sandwiches (gelato between two brioche buns) will be a specialty, as will pistachio gelato and lemon sorbet, among many others. www.gemelligelato.com

South Street staple Lorenzo and Sons Pizzeria announce that as of November they will expand to West Chester, filling the three-year vacant Sprazzo space (27 N. High St.). In addition to their famous 28-inch pizza, the shop will offer personalized pizzas, strombolis, calzones, cheesesteaks, sandwiches and their version of the infamous “Philly Taco.” www.lorenzoandsons.com

Last, we’re counting down the days until Wayne’s Arde Osteria & Pizzeria (133 N. Wayne Ave.) debuts. The refined new concept from the acclaimed crew of Pizzeria DiMeo’s aims to bring the rustic, authentic Italian vibe onto the Main Line. The osteria just completed installation of a Stefano Ferrara wood-burning oven, the BYOB’s leading focal point for their signature, naturally leavened Neapolitan pizzas. Also on the menu: fresh-cut pastas (try the Mafalde Alla Bolognese), a fierce imported salami and cheese program (never skip the burrata), and artisan bread. www.ardewayne.com
