>> Speedy Medi: Fast-casual Mediterranean chain Zoës Kitchen debuted its downtown Wayne location (613 W. Lancaster Ave.) last month. Signature dishes include chicken and salmon kabobs, steak roll-ups, and hummus, with a variety of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. The 82-seat eatery also features outdoor tables, wine and beer, catering, online ordering, and takeout. 

>> Fresh Cups: Haverford welcomes Green Engine Coffee Co. (16 Haverford Station Road), which will be serving its small-batch, single-origin coffee and espresso out of a slick, bright-green La Marzocco machine.

>> Sweet Growth Spurt: Already with eight locations in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey, the Philadelphia-based Honeygrow enterprise is prepping its newest eatery in the 20-acre King of Prussia Town Center, slated to open this fall. 

>> Brewery News: The Reading-based Chatty Monks Brewing Co. is expanding to downtown Phoenixville next spring, with a restaurant and brewery in the former Superior Beverage building on Main Street. The plan is for a 15-barrel system with 30- and 15-barrel fermenting tanks.
