Ardmore Avenue Swimming Pool

Aside from a large pool to cool off in, the Vernon V. Young Memorial Park and Swimming Pool in Ardmore includes basketball and tennis courts, softball and baseball fields, a children’s playground, shuffleboard, and barbecue grills set up for a family barbeque or a relaxing day in sun. The pool has many different memberships, including pay as you go.

Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark

The Pocono’s are an area favorite when it comes to winter escapades, but that doesn’t mean it closes up during the summer. The Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark has a transparent roof that allows visitors to enjoy the sun without battling the temperatures. The park boasts seven pools, 13 slides and the Storm Chaser, the longest indoor watercoaster in the country.

CoCo Key Water Resort

A 45-minute drive from the Main Line offers a quick escape at this resort in Mount Laurel. While kids are exploring Parrots Perch or having some friendly competition at Coral Cove’s slam-dunk, parents can venture off for some relaxation at the Palm Grotto’s indoor/outdoor spa.

Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom

For a full day of fun, head to Allentown’s beloved amusement park. Admission to the park gets visitors access to Wildwater Kingdom, as well. There are plenty of activities, including a 65-foot-tall slide, plenty of smaller ones, tubing, a water funhouse, lazy river, wave pool and more.

Hatfield Aquatic Center

Seek the cool pool vibes of the Hatfield Aquatic Center which offers a family-friendly atmosphere and plenty of water options. The park is equipped with slides and fountains of varying sizes, plus a lazy river and a fitness pool for those who want to get in some laps. Swim lessons are also available. Day pass are available, making it perfect for quick trips or weekend escapes.

Hilltop Swim Club

Two pools, a diving board, water slide, basketball, volleyball, shuffleboard courts, and a full service snack bar are all on offer at Hilltop Swim Club. Better yet, the club offers an August-only membership to squeeze in plenty of summer fun.

Lawrence Park Swim Club

With a baby pool and waterslide, along with a large screen for movies, this swim club offers fun for all ages. Join with a membership, or just be a member for the day for only $8 a person on Fridays in August.

Newtown Athletic Club

For the most part, this club is only open to members, however it offers some openings for non-members and non-area college students home for the summer. Outdoors, guests can find the Aquatic Resort Complex, which features two pools, a slide, lazy river, and plenty of spots for lounging.

Plymouth Swim Club

This 12-acre swim club includes three pools, a children’s playground, four tennis courts, basketball and volleyball courts, a baseball diamond, Ping-Pong tables, and outdoor grills, tables and benches.  The club is membership-based, but they have great deals including weekend-only and $150 discount for new families looking to cool off.

Rose Tree Woods Swim Club

With three pools and a competitive swim and diving team, it’s impossible not to escape the sun at Rose Tree Woods Swim Club. The club also has different membership types, including a month-long August pass.

Sesame Place

While Sesame Place might be best known as an amusement park, it also includes plenty of water rides perfect for younger children. From a slip and slide to a lazy river to giant water slides to little pools, there’s plenty of options for a fun summer day.

YMCA of Greater Brandywine

Outdoor pools, waterslides, lounge chairs and plenty of activities keep the kids occupied all day. The local Y is not only a great place to cool off in the summer, but a great place for family fun all year round.
