William Spiegel, MD, is committed to helping patients of all ages control their asthma symptoms.
As a Senior Physician and Director of the Aspirin Allergy Treatment Center at Allergy & Asthma SpecialistsSM, Dr. Spiegel has a wide range of experience dealing with health issues related to the condition. His goal is to improve the quality of life of each and every patient the center treats.
Dr. Spiegel is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and the American Board of Allergy & Clinical Immunology, and has been involved in more than 100 clinical research studies for numerous international pharmaceutical companies. Many of these studies included double-blind, placebo-controlled trials.
In addition, Dr. Spiegel is the co-author of more than 20 articles that have appeared in the Annals of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, and the Journal of Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He has presented more than 15 papers and conducted numerous professional and community-based lectures.

Dr. Spiegel received his Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University and his Medical Degree from Temple University School of Medicine. His medical training continued at the University of Maryland Hospital, where he was a Resident in Pediatrics.
He was an officer in the United States Air Force for four years, attaining the rank of Major. He then became a Fellow in the Division of Adult and Pediatric Allergy & Immunology at Thomas Jefferson Hospital. Dr. Spiegel trained in the aspirin desensitization program at the Scripps Clinic and Research Foundation of La Jolla, Calif.
