Looks like the food truck craze has ventured to the burbs. Next time you’re shopping at the Whole Foods in Plymouth Meeting, glance up and you’ll notice a festive-looking truck on the rooftop terrace. Open not even two full weeks, Whole Foods’ Blue Route Taco Truck is getting in the game by offering five made-on-the-spot tacos: carne asada with queso fresco, Tecate-battered fish with chipotle mayo, pork carnitas with tomatillo sauce, spiced chicken with pico de gallo, and grilled veggies with black beans and jicama.
Tacos cost $2.50 each or three for $6. Weather permitting, the truck is open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. What could be better? You can wash your tacos down with some cold, local canned beer for $2.99. Now, if we could only get the truck to drive a little bit closer to the Main Line …
