White House Tajine thrives on variety and authenticity, its menu offering a blend of authentic Mediterranean and American cuisine.
The family-owned vibe shows in the modest interior, pleasant service and patient explanations of more exotic fare at White House Tajine. All of it is prepared from scratch, so expect a wait during busier times.
The mezze sampler is a vibrant starter, its various goodies, dips and spreads made memorable by distinctive hints of cardamom, cumin, paprika and turmeric. Also try the tomato-based harira soup, a thick and savory blend of fresh chickpeas and noodles. The namesake tajines—served sizzling with chicken, lamb or veggies—don’t disappoint. And the kabob platters are great for sharing.
The top-notch baklava is a sweet ending with hints of cinnamon and clove. Enjoy it with a cup of steaming mint tea.
