On March 7, the Wayne Hotel’s restaurant Paramour is hosting a five-course vintner dinner with wines from Philly area native and winemaker Elizabeth Pressler of Elizabeth Spencer Wines in California. Before enjoying a delicious meal cooked by executive chef Michael Giampa, guests will be treated to a cocktail reception in the lobby with hors d’oeuvres and the winemaker’s organic sauvignon blanc. You’ll be able to ask Pressler questions about her wines (and other wine talk), as she’ll be on hand to talk to diners. Afterwards, guests will enjoy a five-course meal with dishes like seared diver scallops, roasted rib-eye, duck confit and a cheese and dessert course, each course paired with an Elizabeth Spencer varietal. The cocktail reception starts at 6 p.m. and dinner follows at 6:45. The cost is $125 per person and reservations are required. Call (610) 977-0600 to make a reservation.
Also just introduced are 5 o’clock Flights, three $5 flights of either wine or beer to enjoy in the lobby lounge, with a signature flatbread every Sun.-Wed. from 5-7 p.m. The beverage selections will change on a weekly basis, but it’s a great way to sample some of the many wines and beers on Paramour’s menu.
