You can now get your hoagie fix without having to leave your house thanks to a new partnership between Wawa and food delivery service, Grubhub. The beloved convenience store announced last week that they would start delivering their own foodservice products and a limited number of beverages, snacks and grocery essentials.
At the moment, service is limited to just four locations—two in Philadelphia (3341 Grant Ave. and 2040 Hamilton St.), one in Bethlehem (741 E. Broad St.) and one in Ardmore (195 W. Lancaster Ave.). Delivery hours vary, with the Ardmore and Philadelphia locations offering daily serving from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. In Bethlehem, service doesn’t begin until 9 a.m. There is a $10 minimum charge for delivery, plus a $1.99 fee. Orders can be made at WawaDelivery.com or through Grubhub.
According to Lori Bruce, Wawa’s public relations manager, this initial rollout is a way for the company to test the service and gather feedback from customers. “Based on the findings, a possible expanded test will take place later this year,” she says.
Here’s hoping that expansion includes the rest of the Main Line.
