Valley Forge Beer & Cider Festival
Bringing together two fantastic fermented beverages, the eighth annual Valley Forge Beer & Cider Festival comes to the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center on Dec. 1. Sample more than 150 local and national pours. A bevy of food trucks will also be on site. General admission is $40, or opt for the $55 VIP experience, with special beers, an express lane and seating.

Coffee & Tea Festival Philly
If beer and cider aren’t your thing, then you might want to try the sixth annual Coffee & Tea Festival, also at the Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, Dec. 1-2. The $20 entrance fee gives you the run of the place, with more than 50 exhibitors and their sips and samples. There will also be a number of industry pros offering a variety of seminars, along with plenty of food.

Midnight in the Square
Cap off 2018 and ring in the New Year at Midnight in the Square on Dec. 31 in Kennett Square. Festivities kick off at 6:30 p.m. with the raising of the illuminated 500-pound gargantuan mushroom, along with an assortment of children’s activities and a laser show. Local food-truck favorite On the Roll will be selling hot chocolate, coffee, mushroom soup, chili and fries. At 9 p.m., house band the Funsters, take the stage as the mushroom continues upward, until it reaches its pre-drop apex at midnight.
