This Canine-Themed Fundraiser Features Hot Dogs and a Puppy Kissing Booth

All White Dog Café locations will host Dining Out for the Dogs, which benefits nonprofit Alpha Bravo Canine.

Dog lovers and food enthusiasts alike won’t want to miss the third annual Dining Out for the Dogs on Aug. 19. The fundraiser, which will be held at all three White Dog Café locations—in Haverford, Wayne and University City—is hosted in partnership with 93.3 WMMR and benefits Alpha Bravo Canine.

The fitting food of choice at the event is a flight of four hot dogs for $35. The Backyard Dog is topped with ketchup and mustard, plus barbecue potato chip crumbles for extra crunch, while the Coney Island recalls youthful treats and is topped with Pennsylvania noble cheddar cheese and pickled red onions. For bolder palettes, the Southwestern features guacamole, tortilla crisps, cotija cheese and chipotle aioli, while the White Dog will be served with mushroom relish, goat cheese and a white truffle aioli. Pair with the Barc Echo cocktail or a Dogfish Head beer for a refreshing summer sip.

Radio personalities from Philadelphia stations 92.5 XTU, 94WIP, 95.7 BEN FM and 102.9 WMGK will entertain guests, including 93.3 WMMR’s Preston and Steve, who serve as hosts of the event.

Look for a puppy kissing booth and raffle drawings, as well. Raffle prizes include a custom 30-inch by 40-inch pet portrait from Jay McClellan, the artist whose vibrant canine paintings liven up the cafe’s walls.
