“I bought the place with Isaac in mind,” says Michael Quinn, gesturing proudly toward his Stottsville Inn, the nearly three-century-old landmark along rural Strasburg Road between Parkesburg and Coatesville.
Quinn’s 34-year-old son and the inn’s chef, Isaac has worked at at Philly dining notables Barbuzzo, Little Nonna’s and Brigantessa. His dad is a restoration expert who has revived Stottsville’ overnight functionality with nine refreshed rooms. Come spring, the outdoor patio will be an enclosed private dining room with a handsome wood-burning fireplace. The bar, with its 24 beers and eight wines on tap, is already convivial.
But it’s Isaac’s food that’s the major draw. Standouts include creative takes on charred chicken wings and a cheddar-topped wood-grilled burger. Also good: steaks, seafood and his delectable Overbrook-style pan pizza.
