Taste of the Nation Hits Philly to End Hunger

Share Our Strength’s nationwide fundraiser draws more then 40 of the area’s top chefs to the Loews Hotel for a night of good eats for a great cause.

Monday, June 20 marks yet another year for Share Our Strength’s Taste of the Nation event, which raises money to help put an end to childhood hunger in America. The event is taking place in cities all over the country throughout the spring and summer, and in Philadelphia, this great event will happen at the Loews Hotel on Market Street. More than 40 of the area’s top chefs and favorite restaurants will be part of the event, serving up great food and drinks for guests to enjoy. Expect restaurants like Blackfish, 10 Arts, Lacroix, Modo Mio and Bryn Mawr’s own Verdad restaurant to be there, as well as many more. Some of the city’s best mixologists will be shaking up some special cocktails to go along with the tastings. There will also be a silent auction with lots of great prizes. Tickets are $85 for regular admission from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and VIP admission is $135 for entrance to the event an hour early. Tickets can also be bought at the door on the night of the event for $10 more. I’ll be there. Will you? For more information, visit strength.org/philadelphia
