From Delice et Chocolat to The Bercy, Ardmore has become quite the epi(curious) center. If you’ve been meaning to check out the new culinary scene, then you won’t want to miss the ninth annual Taste of Ardmore on Oct. 12, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Ardmore Toyota. Guests will enjoy an evening filled with great cuisine, libations and homebrews.
Participating restaurants will off their best dishes. Enjoy bites from Bam Bam Seoul Kitchen, Besito Mexican, the Tasting Room, Not Your Average Joe’s and Maido, among others. The Ardmore Kitchen Challenge will also crown the best home cook, as chosen by celebrity judges, thanks to the Ardmore Initiative, Pat Nogar of LMTV’s Living Well with Pat Nogar and Main Line Foodies, who are teaming up to organize the contest. The winning dish will be showcased during Taste of Ardmore.
Distilleries and breweries like Dad’s Hat Pennsylvania Rye Whiskey, Dressler Estate, Iron Hill Brewery & Restaurant, Manatawny Still Works and Tired Hands Brewing Company will also be pouring their latest seasonal blends.
Not only will this year feature an outdoor beer garden with music, but the event organizers are bringing back the Homebrew Competition, which debuted last year. Five brewers from the Main Line Brewers Association will show off their talents to a panel of professional brewers, who will choose the Expert’s Choice winner. Guests will also get to taste and vote for a Voter’s Choice winner. The victorious homebrewers will walk away with malt and a box of hops from Iron Hill and Tired Hands.
Tickets purchased online are $45 through Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. You can also purchase tickets at the door for $50.
