Taylor Swift fever doesn’t get much bigger than this. The Eras Tour continues to be a smash hit while the Travis Kelce pairing has raised the relevance of the couple to towering heights after the Kansas City Chiefs victory in Super Bowl LVIII. Now, Manayunk’s Taqueria Amor is getting in on the action.
This winter, Taqueria Amor hosts a one-of-a-kind Taylor Swift pop-up. It’s been so successful thus far that Taqueria Amor is now considering extending it past the planned February 25 end date.
“We’ve had girls dressed up every night. We had one girl last night dressed up like the ringleader Taylor Swift with the top hat and everything,” Shayna Karl, Taqueria Amor’s social media manager, says.

To date, Taqueria Amor’s Taylor Swift Love Story pop-up has brought in everyone from families to young kids and older millennials looking for swanky Swiftie-themed cocktails.
The Love Story menu boasts 12 Swift- and Kelce-themed items from the Cruel Summer margarita to Look What You Made Me Do shots, Taylor’s Tacos and the house favorite Champagne Problems.
Of course, the list doesn’t end there. Head chefs Guillermo Pozos and Angélica Hernandez worked out the food concepts with owner Tim Spinner, but names, captions and marketing fell on the front of the house. Head bartender Chelsea Herrmann devised the drink menu and worked with general manager Max Molseed, Karl and others to brainstorm Taylor Swift-themed drink and dinner concepts.
The process wouldn’t have been possible without assistant general managers and head Swifties Juliana Giammarinaro and Erica Paluszek, both aficionados in Taylor Swift lore. But the credit goes to Spinner for one of the other big hits, the Kelcedilla, a favorite for boyfriends and less pop music-inclined diners.

The patronage of the Swifties has been a delight for the restaurant. Karl says, “I haven’t ever seen any fanbase as loyal.”
Wrestlemania
The Love Story event can’t last forever though, and the Taqueria Amor staff are already planning their next big pop-up. It’s going to be about as far from the Taylor Swift demographic as possible: Wrestlemania.
For the first time in 25 years this April, the event returns to Philadelphia, and Taqueria Amor is ready for the Hulkamaniacs and Macho Men as it prepares to unveil a smackdown of delicious Wrestlemania-themed drinks, desserts and menu items for all your toughest, tastiest cravings.
