Restaurateurs are flocking to the Main Line to open new concepts, with many of which picking the month of September to make their public debut. Below, find the full details on where you should be dining out this month.
StoneRose’s owner Brian Pieri ushered in his new Italian concept to Conshohocken, Bar Lucca, as of Friday, Sept. 13. Found in the former Hector Street home of Totaro’s, he’s specializing in house-made pasta and brick-oven pizza, with his beverage program consisting of a strong, adventurous wine list.
Appetizers range from marinated fennel salad with Meyer lemon vinaigrette and stuffed meatballs with buffalo mozzarella, to cured meat and cheese boards and bone marrow bruschetta. Innovative, fresh pastas elevate the menu, featuring enticing combinations like fettuccine with stone-ground pine nut pesto and bucatini with bacon lardons, pecorino fresco and Calabrian chiles. The big-bellied, brick pizza oven is the restaurant’s leading focal point, serving classics like the margherita and mortadello, to the aglio (with black garlic aioli) and the hot coppa variety.
