Sly Fox is Opening a New Taproom in Malvern. After much anticipation, the wait is finally over. On Jan. 20, Sly Fox Brewing will open its 5,000-square-foot taproom in The Grove in Malvern. The built-from-the-ground-up spot from the Giannopoulos family will “offer guests a unique indoor-outdoor dining room destination where they can enjoy awesome beers and delicious food paired with open space for games, live music and other events,” says Sarah Jagiela, Sly Fox’s events and marketing manager.

Expect upwards of 20 taps of Sly Fox beer, some local wine options, plus a small locally-focused spirits and cocktails program featuring Pottstown’s Manatawny Still Works and Philadelphia’s Stateside.

In celebration of the opening, several new beers will debut over the coming of weeks, including Nihilist Russian Imperial Stout on draft and in cans, a barrel-aged version of the Nihilist RIS aged in Manatawny Still Works whiskey barrels, and Black Lager, a collaborative brew with Stoudts Brewing of nearby Adamstown.

The kitchen—led by Sean Waclawsky of Pottstown Tasting Room and Steve Yoder of the Phoenixville Brewhouse & Eatery—will turn out hand-tossed brick-oven baked pizzas as well as wings, sandwiches and salads.

Expect a modern industrial vibe complete with walls of roll-up windows that will let in the breeze in the warmer months.
