Skip tripping to Churchill Downs to experience the 2013 Kentucky Derby. Instead, stick around the Main Line and speed over to Wayne’s Paramour on Saturday, May 4, from 3-6 p.m., for their second annual Kentucky Derby Party.
All the proper Kentucky Derby fashion and festivities will be a part of this charitable soiree, with all ticket proceeds supporting the Wayne Senior Center. Guests will be treated to a sophisticated spread of of Derby-inspired hors d’oeuvres, endless mint juleps, specially reserved wines and sweets while the race airs live in the Lobby Lounge and out on the Veranda. A must-try, signature Kentucky Peach cocktail concocted with peach-infused Woodford Reserve will be included on the day’s imbibing list.
Another equally entertaining aspect of the affair will be the “Best Dressed for the Derby Contest.” We encourage wide-brimmed hats to make an appearance at this of Louisville-inspired bash. First, second and third place prizes will be awarded for the best men’s and women’s Derby outfits.
