Just in time for the warm(ish) weather, a new ice cream shop has emerged on the Main Line scene. If you’ve ever ventured to Conshohocken for the delicious ice cream at Scoops on Fayette Street, you’ll be happy with the shop’s second location that just opened on Friday in Bryn Mawr at 1000 Lancaster Ave., just two blocks from the Bryn Mawr Movie Theater. Both Scoops locations are owned by Anthony Della Porta, a Roxborough native and Temple Business grad. The new location takes over the former Bryn Mawr Ice and is open seven days a week from 3-10 p.m. until June 15th, then from 12-10 p.m. until Labor Day.
If you’re not familiar with the ice cream at Scoops, you can expect 32 revolving flavors of ice cream, such as butter pecan and mint chocolate chip, as well as craftier flavors like Graham Slam, Coconut Almond Joy and Peanut Butter Cup. Scoops also sells homemade water ice, hand-dipped frozen yogurt, milkshakes and specialty sundaes, and customers can enjoy their treats at the outdoor seats or inside at the counter. Are you one of the first to try the ice cream at Scoops? Let us know what you think! Visit scoopsicecreamshops.com.
