If you remember the days of the old Brick Bar in Rosemont, you’ll recall its large space on the corner of Garrett Avenue. After that, a slew of other bar-restaurants occupied the building. Maybe the space will have better luck with the Kebob Factory, which opened July 16 after some touch-ups to the interior. When I stopped in recently, I could smell the fresh paint still drying. With all of the pizza and sandwich shops occupying the tiny strip on Conestoga Road, the Kebob Factory is a welcome addition, offering a little variety for local business folks who get lunch and dinner.
The menu is reasonably priced, with a nice selection of soups, salads, almost 20 types of kebobs, and other Indian favorites like butter-and-tandoori chicken or saag paneer (with naan bread, of course). The kebobs seem to be the specialty, and each—from lamb to beef to chicken—is served with salad, rice and naan.
I’m excited to give this new restaurant a try. Have you stopped in yet? Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below.
