Restaurant News: 4 Main Line Restaurants Are Closing

From the ever-popular Cerise to BIGA, these restaurants have or will soon shutter.

Chef Ben Thomas of Cerise Craft Steakhouse is looking forward to spending more time with his family while still keeping his culinary skills adept. He announced recently that “as the new year begins, it is with a rush of emotion that we will be closing Cerise Craft Steakhouse.” The restaurant will remain open through Jan. 12th and will host a few special tasting menus on Saturdays featuring some restaurant favorites. Look for a taste of Italy on Jan. 19 and German cuisine on Jan. 26.

Bryn Mawr favorite BIGA Pizza & Beer and Conshohocken newbie Imbibe Food & Drink, both from chef Sean Weinberg, have recently closed their doors. Citing a difference in direction with partners, Weinberg has decided to maintain his focus on Italian-American cuisine at his seasoned Restaurant ALBA  in Malvern. Berwyn-based La Cabra Brewing is set to open a gastropub in BIGA’s spot.
