Restaurant Alba to Host West Coast Wine Dinner

The Northern Piemonte-inspired menu is complemented by wines from Le Piane, and if you can’t make the Feb. 10 dinner, Alba’s Valentine’s Day feast is another culinary stunner.

If there was wine radar that could detect magnificent tasting experiences, the alarm would be sounding off right now in response to Restaurant Alba’s Feb. 10 dinner. Beginning at 6 p.m., a taste of the West Coast will join forces with the talented chef Sean Weinberg for a remarkable pairing dinner.

Although the Northern Piemonte-inspired menu is destined to be chock full of tantalizing tastes, it wouldn’t be complete without stunning wines from Le Piane. As a recipient of Tre Bicchieri awards and additional praises from ultimate wine advocate Robert Parker, there are no other eight wines that could pair so perfectly with Alba’s five courses. To up the already high ante of this much anticipated dinner, owner/winemaker Christoph Künzli will be present to discuss his single-handed revival of Northern Piemonte wines and the selections for the evening.

The cost of the dinner and wine pairing is $110 per person, excluding tax and gratuity. Those interested may call the restaurant for reservations. Interested but, sadly, not available on the 10th? Alba’s Valentine’s Day Dinner will feature four courses, with four to five choices within each course for $75 (excluding tax and gratuity).
