News and notes on the local dining scene.

Starting “Aneu”

Meridith’s in Berwyn has undergone quite the transformation. It’s been reborn as Aneu Bistro and Wine Bar (575 Lancaster Ave., 610-251-9600, meridithsbistro.com). The American fusion bistro and BYO is still under the same ownership, but diners can expect cozier digs and new culinary offerings, from weekend brunch to sophisticated bar fare.

Gourmet to Go

If you haven’t done so already, it’s about time you got yourself over to the Lancaster County Farmers Market in Wayne (lancastercountyfarmersmarket.com) for some Asian favorites from Susanna Foo’s new outpost, which features salads, rice, noodles, vegetables and, of course, her wildly popular dumplings to go. The market is only open on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays, so plan accordingly.

Little Italy

By the time you read this, Martini’s Italian Market in the Paoli Village Shoppes should be running on all cylinders. It offers panini, hot and cold carryout meals, a stellar selection of deli meats and cheeses, and specialty Italian ingredients and pasta. Customers can also browse imported Italian pottery, glassware and kitchen gadgets. Talk about a one-stop shop.
